Govonestop Selected as a Semi-finalist for QBE AcceliCITY 2020 Program
Leading Cities is proud to announce Govonestop as one of the world’s most promising Smart City startups. Leading Cities and QBE North America have selected 50 startups, from nearly 400 applicants in 37 countries, as semi-finalists in the AcceliCITY 2020 Resilience Challenge. Each semi-finalist demonstrated the critical role they can play in building smarter cities worldwide.
The purpose of AcceliCITY is to further the potential impact Smart City startups will have with civic leaders, and cities and towns around the world. The AcceliCITY program and its partners, help startups succeed by connecting them with mentors from Leading Cities’ global network of smart city experts and city leaders.
Govonestop stood out as an exceptional contender for the AcceliCITY 2020 program. Applicants represented 23 different verticals such as, Internet of Things, AI/Machine Learning, Mobility/Transportation, Urban Agriculture, Smart Health, Smart Water, Security, Environment, Clean Energy, Building Technologies, to name a few.

Govonestop will work with Leading Cities mentors throughout the rest of the competition. Mentors will guide Govonestop to the proper channels, networks, people, and knowledge to do business with cities worldwide and to help them achieve their goals, increase the value they can offer, and help them grow.
Govonestop will participate in a round of webinars featuring Smart City leaders from around the world. In addition, if Govonestop is selected as a Finalist, it will participate the AcceliCITY Boot Camp in Boston, where it will have the chance to connect with potential clients and investors. The boot camp makes a direct impact on the implementation and realization of participant's mission and ensures Finalists will have the solid foundation on which to build future success for their company as well as communities across the globe.
