A tropical disturbance, known as JTWC's Invest 99W, is currently centered near 7N147E west of Weno, Chuuk. This system is starting to develop and is expected to move to the west-northwest as it moves through the outer islands of Yap State. The chance of this system developing into a significant tropical cyclone is rated as sub-low by Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC).
