Dry conditions and breezy winds will lead to near critical fire weather conditions today. Northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts of 20 to 25 mph are forecast for this afternoon into the evening. Relative humidity values will drop to around 20-25 percent along with northwest winds 15-25 mph across west-central Minnesota. Given the extremely dry fuels, near critical fire weather conditions are expected for the afternoon and early evening hours. Any fire that does develop has the potential to quickly spread.
