At 1132 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13 miles southwest of Firebaugh, including along Interstate 5, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Fresno County. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
