Areas of fog continue to develop as a result of the recent rainfall and calm winds. While some dense fog has developed, it is very localized in nature and is mainly located near river valleys. Conditions should quickly improve after sunrise, but if you are driving early this morning, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 437 Humboldt County-Quinn. * Winds...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * Relative Humidity...As low as 10 percent. * Impacts...The combination of gusty winds and low humidity will create critical fire weather conditions. A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...Coastal Broward County and Coastal Miami Dade County. * WHEN...Through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

Patchy dense fog has developed from overnight. Visibilities of 1 mile or less will be possible through daybreak before dissipating over the remainder of the morning. Slow down, use low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance in front of you while driving.

* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog. * WHERE...Portions of northeast and northern Kentucky and central, south central, and southwest Ohio. * WHEN...Until 9 AM EDT this morning. * IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. If driving, slow down, use your low-beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Relative humidity values are expected to fall into the 20 to 25 percent range this afternoon from Bemidji south thru Park Rapids to Wadena. Southwest winds will be 10 to 15 mph shifting to the west. The low humidity values will be enough to bring near critical fire weather conditions. Any fire that does develop has the potential to quickly spread.
