An unseasonably strong storm system for this time of year will bring strong winds and gusts to Nikolski, Unalaska, and Akutan beginning early this evening. Expect winds to quickly increase this afternoon with sustained southeasterly winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 60 mph, becoming more southerly by Monday morning. Winds will likely peak overnight tonight into Monday morning before slowly diminishing through late Monday afternoon.
