increased in duration for the following rivers in Alabama...
Bayou Sara At Saraland affecting Mobile County.
For the Bayou Sara...including Saraland...Major flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
forecast. This approaches the flood of record.
* WHERE...Bayou Sara at Saraland.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS...at 7.9 feet, Streets along Bayou Sara flood. Low lying
areas along Gunnison Creek in Satsuma flood. Above 8 feet,
numerous streets and houses east of the railroad between Bayou
Sara and Norton Creeks flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 7.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.0
feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late
tonight.
- Flood stage is 4.0 feet.
