Description:
At 624 PM EDT/524 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northwest of
Baconton to 8 miles southwest of Leary to Blakely to 7 miles
southeast of Abbeville to 7 miles southeast of Texasville. Movement
was south at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Abbeville, Newton, Blakely, Albany, Arlington, Douglasville,
Centerville, Damascus, Haleburg, Iveys Mill, Radium Springs, Edwin,
Hayes, Rock Hill, Graball, Dancey, Early Co A/p, Hentown, Rowena, and
Balkum.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
