Description:
At 1028 PM EDT/928 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Lumpkin to near
Eufaula. Movement was south at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Georgetown, Springvale Station, Wire Bridge, Bonapartes Retreat,
Peterson Hill, White House, Moores Crossroads, Crossroads, Ricks
Place, Garnersville, Coates, Bagby State Park, Hatcher, Morris,
Benevolence, Springvale, and Wades.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Locally heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may
lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.
