Description: 
At 418 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Booth, or 8 miles west of Prattville, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Montgomery, Prattville, Millbrook, Wetumpka, Pike Road, Elmore, Coosada, Deatsville, Autaugaville, White Hall, Billingsley, Lowndesboro, Benton, Booth, Montgomery Zoo, Vida Junction, Boylston, Hyundai Motors Of Alabama, Auburn University In Montgomery, and Bob Woodruff Lake.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central, south central and east central Alabama. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
