At 635 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Littleville, or 9 miles northeast of Russellville, moving east at 45 mph. Broad rotation was noted with this storm. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Russellville, Town Creek, Littleville, Leighton, Courtland, North Courtland, Hillsboro, Chalybeate Springs, La Grange, and Ne Smith.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for northwestern Alabama.
