At 823 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Hillabee Creek, or 7 miles northeast of Alexander City, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Alexander City, New Site, Wadley, Goldville, Hillabee Creek, Malone, Abanda, Penton, Sparkling Springs, Northern Lake Martin, Daviston, Dickert, White Plains, Horseshoe Bend National Military Park, Hackneyville, Horseshoe Bend, and Motley.
