Description:
At 528 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Gordo to near Shelton State Community
College to Greensboro. Movement was east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Tuscaloosa, Northport, Greensboro, Holt, Moundville, Brookwood,
Coaling, Coker, Samantha, McFarland Mall, Lake Lurleen State Park,
Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, Tuscaloosa Regional Airport, Lake Wildwood,
Low Gap, Mertz, Binion Creek Landing, Shelton State Community
College, Bryant Denny Stadium, and University Mall.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
