Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is expected to continue near
Stevens Village.
* WHERE...Yukon River near Stevens Village.
* WHEN...Until 730 PM AKDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 121 PM AKDT, Rapid snowmelt is causing continued high
water flows along the Yukon River. Rapid river rises have
already caused flooding near Stevens Village. As of 1PM
Thursday, water was reported over the bank and coming into
town. The barge landing was completely underwater.
