* WHERE...Buckland.
* WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Water backing up behind the ice jam along with snowmelt
in the region will result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams,
and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams
may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Local reports from Buckland indicated an ice jam on the
Buckland River above the community of Buckland. As of late
Friday morning water was already over some roads and the
river levels are slowly rising. In addition lakes are
bankfull in the region. Because this ice jam is upriver,
flood potential could become more significant when the jam
releases.
