Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by high water and heavy ice runs continues
to be possible.
* WHERE...Lower Yukon and Innoko Valleys. This includes the
communities of Grayling, Holy Cross, and Shageluk.
* WHEN...Through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...High water may result in flooding of rivers, creeks,
streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- The breakup front along the Yukon River is currently jammed
10 miles downstream of Russian Mission. High water and runs
of heavy ice from the Yuki River ice jam release have been
causing rapid water level rises as it approaches communities.
Yukon River communities that have not experienced ice jams
are still experiencing high water and minor flooding.
