Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Kodiak Island, including the communities of Kodiak City,
Port Lions, Ouzinkie, Old Harbor.
* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff from heavy rain may result in flooding
of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone
locations, including Bells Flats. Heavy rain may saturate soils,
resulting in isolated landslides in areas of steep terrain. Strong
east to northeast winds gusting to near 60 mph at times may also
result in downed trees due to saturated soils.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- An unseasonably strong North Pacific low and its atmospheric
river continue to impact Kodiak Island. The heaviest rain
will continue through tonight, then rain intensity slowly
diminishes through Tuesday afternoon. Up to an additional 2
inches of rain are expected through Wednesday morning.
Overall, rain totals have trended lower as rain is now
forecast to end earlier on Wednesday morning than initially
forecast.

possible landslides.
