Description:
The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 10 AM Saturday to 10 PM AKDT
Sunday.
* AFFECTED AREA...Delta Junction.
* TIMING...From 10 AM Saturday to 10 PM AKDT Sunday.
* WINDS...Southeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* HUMIDITY...As low as 22 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...Highs in the lower 60s. Lows in the upper 30s.
* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected today
due to a combination of low relative humidity, gusty winds,
and dry fuels. Any new fire starts or existing fires may spread
rapidly.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will
occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous
fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to
the public.
