Description:
Unseasonably strong winds will develop Saturday in response to a
storm system moving northward through the Gulf of Alaska. Strong,
gusty winds will develop along the Knik River Valley with gusty
winds working into Palmer and Butte areas by Saturday afternoon.
Gusty winds could loft dust resulting in periods of blowing dust
and reduced visibilities.
** Please use caution if driving or towing a high profile vehicle,
or if planning any outdoor activities with easily lofted objects.
Be prepared for reduced visibilities due to blowing dust.
Expected wind gusts Saturday through Sunday morning:
Sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph
Gusts of 35 to 50 mph (isolated gusts to 55 mph)
