An unseasonably strong storm system for this time of year will bring strong winds and gusts to the Pribilof Islands beginning late Sunday evening. Expect winds to quickly increase late Sunday afternoon with sustained easterly winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 60 mph, becoming more northeasterly by Monday evening. Winds will likely peak early Monday morning before slowly diminishing through late Monday evening. As the storm moves east of the area Monday evening, winds will shift, becoming northwesterly with gusts of 35 to 45 mph likely through Wednesday before finally winding down.
