* WHAT...Northeast winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. * WHERE...Kodiak Island. * WHEN...Until 11 PM AKDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. Downed trees are also possible due to the combination of strong winds and saturated soils from expected excessive rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An unseasonably strong North Pacific low will bring very gusty east to northeasterly winds to Kodiak Island and the surrounding coastal waters this morning through Tuesday. The strongest winds and gusts are expected between this morning and late tonight, with widespread wind gusts near 60 mph possible. Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are expected to persist into Tuesday before slowly diminishing Tuesday night.
