Description:
At 831 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Brickeys, or near Hughes, moving southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Hughes, Tunica, Brickeys, North Tunica, Robinsonville, Clack, Kokomo,
Commerce, Austin, Mud Lake, Peters, Council, Bruins, Beck, North
Hughes, Diamond Woods, Bowdre, Whitehall, Shannondale, and Tongin.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
northwestern Mississippi. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in
effect until 900 PM CDT for eastern Arkansas.
