Description:
At 923 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles south of Brickeys, or 11 miles north of St Francis National
Park, moving southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Tunica, North Tunica, Jeffersonville, Diamond Woods, Haleside, Fox
Island, Austin, Whitehall, Clayton, Evansville, and Mississippi River
State Park.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
northwestern Mississippi. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in
effect until 1100 PM CDT for eastern Arkansas.
