Description:
At 927 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Jennette, or 10 miles south of Parkin, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
West Memphis, Forrest City, Marion, Hughes, Madison, Memphis,
Crawfordsville, Edmondson, Horseshoe Lake, Widener, Anthonyville,
Jennette, Simsboro, Brickeys, Pinckney, New Home, Crittenden,
Cottonwood Corner, Browns, and Louise.
This includes Interstate 40 in Arkansas between mile markers 242 and
276.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
northwestern Mississippi. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in
effect until 1100 PM CDT for eastern Arkansas.
