* Until 345 PM HST.
* At 1253 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain moving up from the
southwest. Rain was falling over the north and south Kona
districts at a rate of 0.5 to 1 inch per hour. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads,
properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road
closures possible in some areas. Landslides are
possible in steep terrain.
