...The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers...
Raccoon Creek near Granville.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Raccoon Creek near Granville.
* WHEN...Until late this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...at 14.0 feet, portions of the TJ Evans bike trail are
nearly flooded, without buildings near the Granville Water Plant
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:00 AM EDT Friday the stage was 9.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early this morning to a crest of 14.1 feet this morning. It
will then fall below flood stage by afternoon.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
