Description:
Additional showers are expected to reach Rio Cibuco basin today.
Therefore, a new River Flood Warning was issued.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Rio Cibuco and its tributaries along Vega Alta and Vega
Baja.
* WHEN...Until 500 PM AST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1053 AM AST, gauge reports indicated that Rio Cibuco
continues in minor flood stage. Flooding is ongoing in the
warned area.
- River flooding is closing down Route PR-2 between Vega Baja
and Vega
Alta. Routes PR-675 may also be impassable, and PR-676 is
closed.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
