* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1012 PM AKDT, the breakup front was located approximately
12 miles downriver of Mountain Village as of 7 PM Saturday.
It is moving slowly into the remaining in-place ice. Plenty
of high water is still pushing down the river from the jam
near Holy Cross a few days ago. As the surge of high water
moves downstream, it is causing flooding in several
communities along the Yukon.
- Water levels rose significantly on Saturday in Pilot Station
and low-lying areas were flooded. Water levels could continue
to rise slowly until the breakup front moves farther
downstream Sunday. Resident should continue to exercise
caution in and around flood waters.
- For Yukon River at Pilot Station:
At 9:45pm the stage was 32.6 feet.
