Description:
* WHAT...Very steep and hazardous seas 13 to 16 ft at 14 seconds
and southeast winds 5 to 10 kt.
* WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM PDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or cause
damage to vessels.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Ebb current of 4.57 kt at 149 AM Tuesday.
Seas 12 to 15 ft. Ebb current of 3.08 kt at 203 PM Tuesday. Seas
11 to 13 ft. Ebb current of 5.02 kt at 237 AM Wednesday. Seas 8
to 9 ft.
Instruction:
A Hazardous Seas Warning means hazardous sea conditions are
imminent or occurring. Recreational boaters should remain in
port, or take shelter until waves subside. Commercial vessels
should prepare for rough seas and consider remaining in port or
taking shelter in port until hazardous seas subside.
