Description:
* WHAT...Significant icing. Additional snow and sleet accumulations
up to 6 inches and ice accumulations up to a quarter of an inch.
Localized icing around a half inch will be possible, especially
across Crawford county. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...A portion of Northern Lower Michigan.
* WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Significant icing may lead to considerable damage to
infrastructure, especially across Crawford county. Power outages
and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Long duration power
outages cannot be ruled out for Crawford county. Travel could be
nearly impossible on secondary roads and back roads that
experience icing. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday
morning commute.
Instruction:
Travel is strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
Prepare for possible long duration power outages.
