Description:
At 748 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles northwest of Ponderay, or 12 miles northwest of Sandpoint,
moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern
Boundary and west central Bonner Counties.
This includes U.S. Highway 95 in Idaho between mile markers 485 and
488.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
