For the Des Plaines River...including Russell...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to US-41 in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Agricultural and park land is inundated near the river. Residential property is threatened near the river. At 9.5 feet, Residential structures threatened along Russell Road between the river and Kilbourne Road. Industrial parking lots threatened along Kilbourne Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.2 feet. - Recent Activity...Recent rainfall caused the river level to jump quickly from 8.7 feet this morning to now over 9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to crest at just over 9 feet early Saturday before gradually falling over the next few days. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
