Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...Missouri...
Mississippi River at Thebes
.Runoff from recent heavy rain upstream will cause minor flooding to
develop along the Mississippi River at Thebes. The river is
forecast to rise above flood stage Friday morning and crest near
35.8 feet on Monday.
For the Mississippi River...including Thebes...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Thebes.
* WHEN...From Friday morning to Wednesday, May 06.
* IMPACTS...At 34.0 feet, The town of Thebes begins to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 28.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late Friday morning to a crest of 35.8 feet Monday morning.
It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday, May 06.
- Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
