East Fork White River at Columbus. .Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall over the last couple of days combined with light to moderate rainfall today is bringing widespread minor lowland river flooding to central and southern Indiana. Isolated moderate flooding, particularly at Seymour on the East Fork White, is expected as well. More rounds of rainfall going into and through the holiday weekend could make the flooding last longer and bring higher crests. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...East Fork White River near Rivervale. * WHEN...From late tonight to Friday, May 29. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, All county roads across or located in the East Fork White River flood plain flood. Flooding of agricultural land becomes extensive. The county road on northside of gage floods and gage may be inaccessible except by boat. Local residents in nearby river cabins must park on higher grounds. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 18.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 25.6 feet early Sunday afternoon.
