At 416 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Lorimor, or 14
miles south of Winterset, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Creston, Afton, Lorimor, Macksburg, Arispe, Thayer, Creston Municipal
Airport, and Green Valley Lake State Park.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for south central
and southwestern Iowa.
