Description:
WHAT...Strong winds from the northwest at 20 to 25 mph with gusts
to 35 mph, dry surface vegetation and low relative humidity
between 25 and 30 percent will lead to elevated fire danger.
WHERE...All areas north of Interstate 80 and all areas west of
Interstate 35.
WHEN...Through 6 PM Today.
IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly.
PREPAREDNESS AND PRECAUTIONARY ACTIONS...Burning is discouraged under
these conditions. Also, take care to prevent the start of accidental
fires when smoking or operating vehicles around dry vegetation.
