...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Kansas...
Black Vermillion River near Frankfort affecting Marshall County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Black Vermillion River near Frankfort.
* WHEN...Until early Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Minor flooding of lowland areas occurs
along the river from Vermillion to the mouth of the Black
Vermillion River.
At 26.0 feet, The west bank of the river floods.
At 27.5 feet, Area in the vicinity of 19th Terrace and Vista Roads
floods.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 25.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 27.5 feet tomorrow morning.
It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning to
14.4 feet early Tuesday morning.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
