Increasing relative humidity values in combination with lightening winds has brought an end to the critical fire weather conditions foe the day. As result, the Red Flag Warning has been allowed to expire. ...A RED FLAG WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM 1PM UNTIL 10PM WEDNESDAY FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY... The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 1 PM to 10 PM CDT Wednesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * WINDS...South to southeast winds between 15 to 20 mph will gust as high as 25 to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15-20 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...South Central Nebraska and North Central Kansas Locations outside of the warning will still be expected to reach elevated to near-critical fire weather conditions.
