At 902 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 5 miles west of Olpe to 4 miles southwest of Hartford to near Quenemo, moving southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 9:01 PM, 60 MPH wind gusts were reported 5 miles east of Waverly. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Garnett, Burlington, Lyndon, Waverly, Olpe, Williamsburg, New Strawn, Quenemo, Melvern, Hartford, Gridley, Westphalia, Beto Junction, Harris, Pomona Lake, John Redmond Reservoir, and Le Roy. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 153 and 173.
