* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 2 to 5 inches in the most persistent lake snows, greatest across the Tug Hill Plateau. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow. * WHERE...Jefferson and Lewis Counties. The greatest additional accumulations will be across the Tug Hill Plateau. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Plan on snow covered and slippery road conditions with very poor visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The band of heavy lake effect snow will continue to drift south this afternoon, with improving travel conditions in Watertown and Fort Drum.
