* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 6 to 10 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow through early this evening before winds diminish after sunset. * WHERE...Northern Cayuga and Oswego Counties. The greatest accumulations will be across the Tug Hill Plateau this afternoon, then across southern Oswego and far northern Cayuga counties tonight. * WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult with snow covered roads and very poor visibility at times. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
