Description:
At 1029 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Toomey to 8 miles west of Sabine Pass.
Movement was southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Port Arthur, Orange, Nederland, Groves, Port Neches, Bridge City,
West Orange, Sabine National Wildlife, Sabine Pass, Johnsons Bayou,
Pinehurst, Port Acres, Toomey, Orangefield, Hackberry, and Sea Rim
State Park.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 880 and 874.
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 6.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
