Boardman River near Mayfield-Brown -Bridge Rd affecting Grand Traverse County. Au Sable River near Red Oak affecting Oscoda County. For the Rifle River...including Sterling...Minor flooding is forecast. For the Boardman River...including Mayfield--Brown Bridge Rd...Minor flooding is forecast. For the Au Sable River...including Red Oak...Major flooding is forecast. For the Manistee River...including Sherman...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. This exceeds the flood of record. * WHERE...Manistee River near Sherman. * WHEN...Until Monday evening. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Flooding of property and homes adjacent to right bank of river along Ojibway Drive, Ottawa Drive, and Chippewa Drive 1 mile north of Sherman. Flooding of N11 Road between W14 Road and W16 Road 1 mile northwest of Mesick. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 18.2 feet. This exceeds the previous record crest of 16.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:00 PM EDT Tuesday was 18.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Monday afternoon and continue falling to 14.8 feet Tuesday, April 21. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.9 feet on 04/15/2014. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
