.Snowmelt is resulting in rivers reaching critical levels.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...East Branch Escanaba River at Gwinn.
* WHEN...Until this morning.
* IMPACTS...At 7.9 feet, Water reaches the bottom girder of the M-35
bridge
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 5:45 PM EDT Monday the stage was 7.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 5:45 PM EDT Monday was 8.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
this morning and continue falling to 4.1 feet Monday evening.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
