Historically high water volumes continue across much of the Cheboygan River basin. This Flood Warning addresses the high water levels affecting the Cheboygan River basin UPSTREAM of the Cheboygan Dam. * WHAT...Historic flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues. * WHERE...A portion of northern Michigan, including the following counties, Cheboygan and Emmet. * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Historic flooding is occurring following recent heavy rainfall and snowmelt. Roads and structures near lakes and rivers will continue to see high water levels. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 414 AM EDT, flooding continues across the warned area, which encompasses a large portion of Emmet and Cheboygan counties. - A quarter to half inch of new rainfall is expected this afternoon, especially for areas south of M-68. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
