At 237 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Kentwood to 5 miles southwest of Hastings, moving northeast at 50 mph. THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR BARRY AND SOUTHERN KENT COUNTIES. HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely. These severe storms will be near... Hastings, Freeport, and Gerald R. Ford International Airport around 245 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Prairieville, Dutton, Cutlerville, Delton, Alaska, Alto, Irving, Cloverdale, Yankee Springs, and Cascade.
