...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON IN WESTERN, CENTRAL MINNESOTA... .Clearing skies and a deep mixing layer will promote increasing wind gusts heading into the afternoon, with gusts from 30-35mph expected from early afternoon to early evening. Relative humidity will be in the upper teens to low 20s, which alongside the increasing wind gusts will result in 4 to 5 hour window of Red Flag Conditions. Burning is discouraged today as any fires that develop can spread rapidly. The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a Red Flag Warning. * AFFECTED AREA...Portions of central, east central, and west central Minnesota. * TIMING...From 1 PM this afternoon to 6 PM CDT this evening. * WINDS...Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Around 20 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
