Description: 
At 603 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles north of Lexington, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Black Hawk, Emory, and Bowling Green around 610 PM CDT. West around 615 PM CDT. Vaiden around 620 PM CDT.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. High winds can bring down trees and large limbs resulting in serious injury or property damage. Exercise extreme caution when outdoors during such strong winds...and be especially aware of older trees. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for central and north central Mississippi.
