Description:
At 606 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Marion to Zero. Movement was east at 35
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Meridian, Marion, and Zero around 610 PM CDT.
Toomsuba and Lauderdale around 615 PM CDT.
Alamucha and Kewanee around 620 PM CDT.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for east central
Mississippi.
