Description:
At 1230 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles east of Lamar to near Alba to near
Diamond to near Goodman. Movement was east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Carthage, Neosho, Stockton Lake, Monett, Aurora, Mount Vernon, Lamar,
Marionville, Granby, Greenfield, Sarcoxie, Pierce City, Purdy,
Lockwood, Jasper, Diamond, Golden City, Miller, Verona, and Fairview.
This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 14 and 58.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
southwestern Missouri.
